Contiki, the renowned travel brand catering to 18-35-year-olds, has announced the launch of its most extensive collection of European trips in over 60 years, along with two new budget-friendly adventures in Peru.

The tour company is introducing a set of 10 new itineraries, including its inaugural venture into Albania and extending its reach to popular destinations across Athens, Egypt, England, France, Morocco, Switzerland and Rome. To celebrate the September 10 launch, Contiki is running a special promotion wherein the first 10 travelers to book select departures will receive a 50 percent discount, potentially saving up to $1,400.

“We’ve been leading travel experiences in Europe for over 60 years, and it’s a region that holds a special place in Contiki’s history and heart,” said Contiki’s CEO, Adam Armstrong. “This new collection of trips is about evolving with our travelers' desires. We want to uncover hidden gems and offer fresh, immersive experiences that align with the interests of travelers today, and launching in destinations like Albania reflects our commitment to bringing new, off-the-beaten-path adventures to life.

“To celebrate this exciting expansion, we’re offering our biggest deal ever, with 50 percent off for the first ten travelers on select launch departures. This special offer is designed to inspire travelers to seize the moment and book now, so they don't miss out on these unique adventures at an unbeatable price,” he added.

Among the new European itineraries is the eight-day ‘Albania Beaches & Peaks’ trip, which highlights Albania's emerging travel appeal, as evidenced by its recent ranking among the top three trending destinations by MasterCard Economics Institute. This journey includes an exploration of the country’s varied features, from the pristine white-sand beaches and brilliant turquoise waters of the Albanian Riviera to hikes in Valbona National Park. Itinerary highlights include a scenic cruise over Lake Komani, cable car rides and historical architecture tours in Tirana, and such cultural experiences as a traditional Iso-Polyphony singing performance and tasting the local cuisine at an agro-tourism farm.

Other new itineraries throughout Europe include destinations like Austria, France, Greece, Spain, Switzerland and more. A full listing of the new Contiki trips that have just dropped can be viewed here.

Highlights of the top new European trips include:

Contiki is also expanding its Latin America collection with two new budget-friendly trips to Peru: ‘Lima to Machu Picchu Road Trip’ and ‘Peru: Lima to Huaraz.’ Both journeys include English- and Spanish-speaking Trip Managers, quality hostel accommodations, internal transport and comfortable sleeper coaches.

  • Lima to Machu Picchu Road Trip – This 11-day journey takes guests on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu with sand buggy rides in Huacachina, aerial views of the Nazca Lines, boat tours of the Ballestas Islands, cultural experiences at Lake Titicaca and a visit to a vineyard in Pisco.
  • Peru: Lima to Huaraz – This six-day trip provides an extraordinary chance to explore the lesser-known city of Huaraz and features hikes to one of the last tropical glaciers in South America, visits to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Chavin de Huantar and a trek to the stunning Andean destination of Laguna 69. With the addition of this itinerary, Contiki becomes the first youth operator to spend more than just a single day in the relatively unknown city of Huaraz.
