Porter Airlines has been named Best Regional Airline in North America at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards, for the second year in a row.
The award recognizes airlines that primarily or exclusively operate within North America and is based on feedback from the world’s largest airline passenger satisfaction survey, which includes input from travellers in more than 100 countries.

“Porter has been redefining what it means to fly economy across North America,” said Michael Deluce, CEO of Porter Airlines.
“We’re known for our elevated experience, such as no middle seats, free beer and wine served in glassware, complimentary premium snacks, plus free streaming WiFi for all passengers, however, it is our delivery of service that sets us apart. We treat our passengers with dignity and respect, because that is how they deserve to be treated, and that is why we often hear that passengers ‘love’ Porter.”

Deluce credited the win to the airline’s entire team and emphasized that the level of service provided “cannot be replicated.”
Founded in 2006, Porter has grown significantly over the past two years.
The airline has hired more than 2,500 new employees, taken delivery of 44 new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, and now operates a fleet of 73 planes, including 29 Dash 8-400s.
Its route map includes 64 routes and 37 destinations, with service across every Canadian province.

Porter now flies as far west as Victoria and as far east as St. John’s, and has increased its presence in major U.S. markets, including Florida, California and New York.
Porter is also one of just three North American airlines to hold Skytrax’s Official 4-Star Rating, which recognizes overall quality performance.
The Best Regional Airline in North America category was introduced by Skytrax in 2014.
