Air Canada has reached a tentative collective agreement with the union representing more than 11,000 employees across several operational and administrative divisions, the airline announced Saturday.
The tentative deal is with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW), which represents Air Canada employees working in Maintenance, Cabin Services, Airport Airside Operations, Cargo, Finance and Clerical roles.
In a brief statement, Air Canada said the agreement "recognizes the contributions and skills of Air Canada's operations and administrative employees."

Details of the proposed agreement have not been released and will remain confidential until the ratification process is completed.
The agreement is subject to approval by IAMAW members, a process expected to take place over the next several weeks, as well as approval by the Air Canada Board of Directors.
The tentative deal covers one of Air Canada's largest employee groups and comes as the carrier continues to navigate a busy summer travel season.
Further details are expected following the ratification vote.
