Toronto Hotel Received Prestigious Five Diamond Rating from AAA

Only two hotels were recognized this week with a new AAA Five Diamonds rating. One was the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City and the other is a little closer to home — The Hazelton in Toronto. 

Five diamonds have been awarded to only 145 hotels in North America and the Caribbean. The list is based on unannounced visits from inspectors who rate hotels based on AAA’s “Four Cs”: Cleanliness, Comfort, Cuisine, and Consistency.   

Hotels that rank highly are properties that have “stunning surroundings, thoughtful amenities, and unparalleled service.“

The Hazelton, in the Yorkville neighbourhood, is no stranger to accolades. It is the only Forbes Five-Star independent luxury boutique hotel in Canada. The 62-room/15-suite property boasts thoughtful design throughout, and is also home to Spa by Valmont and ONE Restaurant.
