The Hotel Saskatchewan is taking its place among the most remarkable boutique hotels in the world as a new member of the Autograph Collection-Marriott International's exclusive portfolio of luxury lifestyle properties. Membership in the prestigious ensemble is reserved only for hotels that are original, rich in character and offer a one-of-a-kind experience.
The historic Hotel Saskatchewan, a beloved Regina landmark, was built in 1927 by the Canadian Pacific Railway and has long been a stop for travellers making the trans-country trip. The Hotel Saskatchewan is Regina's only "Four Diamond" hotel as designated by the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA).
"The Hotel Saskatchewan represents the values of Prairie Perseverance," said Brian Munson, general manager. "[We] celebrate the kind of success worth having - the well-earned kind. It's what differentiates the hotel. And although there have been many ups and downs throughout the years, our values have never changed."
The hotel has recently unveiled a new restaurant and lounge, Circa 27, so named as a tribute to the year the hotel opened. Although Circa 27 has been renovated many times since it originally opened with a Spanish villa style, the fireplace and hand-painted beams that were installed nearly 90 years ago remain.
The restaurant champions farm-to-table dishes and memorable libations prepared in a uniquely Saskatchewan way.
The Hotel Saskatchewan is a Marriott Rewards, Category 5 property.
