Marriott’s Barbados Collection has a newly refreshed property to showcase. Tamarind, an Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort has reopened its doors on the Platinum West Coast on the Caribbean island.

Following the significant redesign, the resort now offers 111 refreshed guestrooms and suites, reimagined culinary experiences, enhanced public spaces, and thoughtfully curated programming that “celebrates Barbados' vibrant culture, warmth, and authenticity.”

"The reopening of Tamarind is an incredibly meaningful moment for Marriott International, our team, and for the future of hospitality in Barbados," said Gastón Gonzalez, Regional Vice President, Marriott International, Caribbean & Mexico. "Over the past several years, we have undertaken an ambitious vision to completely reimagine our portfolio across the island. Tamarind's reopening and adherence to the Autograph Collection brand represents the culmination of that journey and reinforces our commitment to delivering world-class, all-inclusive experiences under Marriott Bonvoy's portfolio of distinctive brands."

There are five dining experiences on-site, including Caribbean Restaurant, the island’s first air-conditioned restaurant to feature exclusively Barbadian cuisine.

Families will have a vacation to remember with plenty of relaxing options, several pools, sandy beach, motorized and non-motorized water sports, wellness offerings, and immersive experiences that connect travelers to the destination.  Young visitors will especially enjoy CAMP Club, with indoor and outdoor space designed for fun. Campers will be able to take part in activities inspired by Barbados, such as local arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and interactive adventures. The goal is for children to connect with the destination in meaningful ways while parents unwind and enjoy the resort's relaxed setting.

"At Tamarind, we wanted every aspect of the guest journey to reflect the warmth and vibrant spirit of Barbados," said Rajarshi Ganguly, General Manager of Tamarind, Barbados, an Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort. "From locally inspired cuisine and cultural programming to the genuine hospitality delivered by our associates, the reimagined resort offers an authentic connection to the island while creating memorable experiences for families, couples, and travelers seeking to discover the very best of Barbadian life."

While staying at Tamarind, guests can participate in the Barbados Collection's Dine Around program, which has a water taxi deliver guests to participating sister resorts, enabling visitors to spend time and enjoy the flavours of other properties rather than being tethered to their own resort.

The family-friendly resort is part of the on-going investment by Marriott into its Bajan properties, which include the conversion of Waves Resort & Spa, Treasure Beach, The House, and now Tamarind into Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resorts; the introduction of Crystal Cove and Turtle Beach as distinctive Tribute Portfolio All-Inclusive Resorts; and the reopening of Colony Club as Barbados' first property as part of The Luxury Collection. Later this month, Sand Trap Beach Club will open in between Tamarind and neighbouring The House. When it opens, the beach club aims to be one of Barbados’ premier social hubs and mark the completion of Marriott’s “Lifestyle Stretch” along the coast.
