Canadian agency owners with Travelsavers came together with U.S. counterparts and preferred partners at the recent Owners Focus Retreat to collaborate on navigating an evolving travel landscape.

Held April 23–26 at Chateau Elan in Braselton, Georgia, the retreat hosted more than 120 owners, managers, suppliers, and staff for a mix of strategic sessions, networking, and leisure.

Travelsavers Canada agencies held a dedicated roundtable to examine market-specific challenges. Issues included the need for more Canadian-targeted promotions, flexible payment options, and engaging client events.

Travelsavers Canada Emphasizes Role of Advisors Amid Consumer Confidence Dip

“Owners Focus Retreat created a space for meaningful discussions and fresh thinking,” said Jane Clementino, Senior Vice President and GM of Travelsavers Canada.

“It was a chance for our top agencies to collaborate, offer ideas, and shape strategies that will drive their business forward in a rapidly changing market.”

Sales Continue to Grow

Despite headwinds like inflation and fluctuating consumer confidence, Travelsavers Canada said it continues to report sales growth.

Ocean cruising is showing strong momentum, with contemporary sailings up 9%, premium up 8%, and luxury up 5%. Sun vacations are up 7%, FIT travel 3%, and guided tours 2%.

“I am super bullish on this business and believe 2025 is going to end strongly,” said Nicole Mazza, Chief Marketing Officer. “Travellers are booking for the festive season and into next year. 2026 is already off the charts with double-digit growth.”

The network is bolstering advisor tools to meet demand, including an upgraded tripXpress platform with deep-linking capabilities and a new dashboard via Softvoyage that allows for custom group marketing. The AI Connect tool is also helping advisors streamline their workflow.

“Change is a process, not an event,” said Oddi. “When we see ourselves differently, we act differently.”

Facing Challenges with a United Front

During a keynote session, change management expert Rob Oddi urged attendees to embrace transformation through self-awareness and audience connection. Through collaborative Lego-building exercises, advisors visualized shared obstacles—such as tech adoption and time management—while identifying opportunities to connect more deeply with clients.

“Change is a process, not an event,” said Oddi. “When we see ourselves differently, we act differently.”
