Nexion Travel Group has announced it will host its 2026 Cruise Sales Summit in Vancouver next May.
“Cruise offerings are changing all the time, with new ships, itineraries and excursions,” says Jackie Friedman, VTA, CTIE, President, Nexion Travel Group, about why attending this event is important. “Our members will return home with important cruise industry connections, firsthand experiences and new ideas for providing their clients with exciting choices for ocean and river voyages.”
The event brings fifty advisors together with representatives from ocean and river cruise lines as well as complementary partners such as insurance providers and land tours for pre- and post-cruise excursions.
The summit is designed to ensure travel advisors have the support they need to take advantage of the boom in cruise bookings. The itinerary will feature in-depth education sessions on the business of selling ocean and river cruises, strategies to enhance sales and the client experience, multiple networking opportunities, one-on-one meetings with supplier partners, tours of ships and visits to hotels.
A pre-summit FAM will sail aboard the Coral Princess from Los Angeles to Vancouver to kick things off the right way.
Nexion travel advisors report that cruises represent a major portion of their business. In a recent survey of 218 members across the United States and Canada, 71 percent of respondents said that cruises are the most common type of trip clients ask them to book, making it the clear leader over other categories.
“We know the importance of cruise bookings to our members,” says Friedman. “The Cruise Sales Summit is part of our commitment to provide our travel advisors in the United States and Canada with the tools they need to be successful.”
The 2026 Cruise Sale Summit will be held at the Hilton Vancouver Airport, May 20-23. The cruise FAM from Los Angeles to Vancouver sails May 16-20.
