FlightHub has released the second edition of its Unveiled list, outlining shifts in travel and booking behaviour based on North American data from late 2024 and the first half of 2025.

The report shows Tokyo as the standout destination of the year, with a 56% increase in bookings compared to 2024.

Manila held onto the top spot as the most-booked international city, while Las Vegas experienced a 40% decline in bookings year-over-year.

“With Unveiled, we're spotlighting destinations that offer rich experiences without the high price tag,” said Henri Chelhot, CEO of FlightHub.

“But more importantly, this data helps us understand how travel habits are evolving and ensures we're building experiences and tools that reflect what today's travellers truly value.”

Generational and Group Travel Trends

According to the report, Baby Boomers booked Puerto Vallarta more than any other destination, accounting for 32% of trips.

Girls’ trips were most often booked to Cancun, with one in six group bookings by female travellers heading there.

Men’s group travel was most concentrated in Medellín, which saw more than double the share compared to other destinations.

Solo travellers overwhelmingly chose Lagos, Nigeria, where 84% of bookings were for single passengers.

“Our Unveiled series isn't just a showcase of top travel spots, it's rooted in real FlightHub customer data and emerging travel patterns,” said Ayoub Hissar, director of Communications.

“By identifying shifts in group travel, booking habits and destination popularity, we're helping travellers stay informed and helping our partners respond to what people are looking for: value, variety, and memorable experiences.”

Canadian Travel Still Strong

Domestic travel demand remained solid, with Toronto topping the list of most booked Canadian destinations, followed by Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Montréal, and Winnipeg.

The busiest Canadian route was Toronto to Calgary, while Toronto overall was the country’s top destination.

Other booking insights include:

  • Tuesday was the most popular booking day, representing 16% of all reservations.
  • August was the busiest month for travel, accounting for 10% of bookings.
  • The longest single itinerary recorded was from New York (JFK) to Singapore (SIN), lasting 18 hours and 40 minutes.

Expert Picks

Alongside the data, FlightHub’s travel experts selected destinations they say deliver consistent value and experiences.

The 2025 list includes Banff, Doha, Boracay, Lima, Busan, Vis, Hammamet, San Blas, Vienna, and Puglia.

“This year's data demonstrates a trend toward domestic tourism following the U.S. election, a shift accentuated by the current economic conditions,” said Hissar.

“While Western Canada and Toronto benefit from this trend, Montréal climbed three spots in the ranking from last year.”

FlightHub’s findings are based on North American bookings made between October 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025.
