Vienna Fam Soaks Up The Christmas Market Magic

Led by Armando Mendonca, who represents Vienna in the Canadian market, a recent fam explored the storied city at one of the most atmospheric times of year.

The group toured Vienna's majestic and charming Christmas markets, open each year from mid-November until Christmas Day. The aroma of festive baking delights, hot punch and toasted almonds filled the air, stirring the spirit of the season. 

There were stops at essential Vienna landmarks, including the Habsburg Palace and the Spanish Riding School, Schönbrunn Palace (Bergl Rooms), Naschmarkt, Museum Quartier, St. Stephens Cathedral and the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna (Fine Arts Museum).

Host hotels were the Park Plaza Vienna and the Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna. The group also enjoyed site inspections of Sans Souci Vienna, Rosewood Vienna, Grand Hotel Vienna and Sacher Hotel. Find out more about Vienna’s accommodation options here.

Mendonca says Vienna’s culinary scene ignited the group’s senses, with memorable experiences at the Michelin-starred Edvard Restaurant at the Anantara Palais Hansen, the Gasthaus Apiano, Brasserie Palmenhaus Vienna and the Leopold Cafe and Bar.
