THE TOKYO PASS announced the relaunch of its website with a limited-time 50% discount for international travellers visiting Tokyo this fall.
The digital sightseeing pass provides smartphone access to more than 50 cultural attractions, museums, traditional gardens and landmarks across the Japanese capital.
Travellers can use the digital pass by scanning a QR code at participating attractions. The company says the system is designed to reduce the need for advance bookings and purchasing tickets at individual attraction counters.
Among the concepts being promoted through the program is "Museum Bathing," which encourages visitors to spend time in museums and historic gardens as a form of relaxation and mindful travel.
The pass can be used to build itineraries combining art, historic sites and traditional gardens in different areas of Tokyo. Food and dining experiences are not included, although visitors can incorporate stops for local cuisine while travelling between participating attractions.
According to Hanseisha, use of THE TOKYO PASS also contributes to the preservation of participating cultural properties.
The 50% discount is being offered for a limited period and is available exclusively to international visitors to Tokyo.
