Cabot announced it is expanding its Nova Scotia footprint with plans for Cabot Wilds, a new 2,500-acre golf resort set to open in Cumberland County in late 2027.
The project is being developed in partnership with Canadian businessman John Bragg and his family, founders of Oxford Frozen Foods, and will be located in Collingwood Corner, just outside Oxford, N.S., in the foothills of the Cobequid Mountains.
Cabot already operates Cabot Cape Breton, home to the Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs golf courses.
“We are honoured to work with John Bragg and his family to bring Cabot Wilds to life and shine a light on this beautiful corner of Nova Scotia," said Ben Cowan-Dewar, CEO and co-founder of Cabot.

According to a press release, at the centre of Cabot Wilds will be an 18-hole riverfront golf course designed by Toronto-based architect Jeff Mingay. The course will run through highlands and tree-lined valleys alongside the River Philip.
Plans for the all-season resort also include a clubhouse, restaurants, a recreation pavilion, racquet sports facilities, wellness and spa facilities and residential real estate.

Cabot says the property will be enrolled in Audubon International’s Platinum Signature Sanctuary certification program, which incorporates environmental planning, design and management into the development process.
Beyond The Golf Course
Cabot Wilds is also being positioned as a year-round destination, with outdoor activities planned around the surrounding maple forests, wild blueberry fields and River Philip.
Activities are expected to include hiking, mountain biking, salmon fishing, wild blueberry picking and access to snowmobile trails, as well as skiing and other winter sports in the surrounding region.
The clubhouse will include an indoor-outdoor restaurant and bar, private dining room, social lawn, pro shop and locker rooms. Plans also call for spa and wellness facilities with treatments, thermal therapies and mindfulness spaces.
Residential options will include two-, four- and eight-bedroom cottages, along with lots offering golf course, hillside or river views.
The resort will be accessible from both Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) and Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport (YQM).
Cabot Wilds is scheduled to open in late 2027.
