Virgin Voyages has introduced refreshed menus at two of its onboard restaurants, The Wake and The Dock, adding new dishes and expanding vegan and gluten-free options. The cruise line has also unveiled a new Caribbean-inspired menu at The Beach Club at Bimini.

The Wake, the cruise line’s steakhouse, has updated its brunch and dinner menus in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Brad Farmerie, who helped develop the restaurant’s original menu. New brunch dishes include Waldorf Salad, Russet Sweet Potato Hash and Portobello Mushroom Benedict.

Dinner additions vary by ship and include Chilled Corn Soup, Tuna Tartare and Bacon-Wrapped Twice-Baked Potatoes. Oysters Rockefeller is also available as an optional upgrade. The restaurant has retained several existing dishes, including its Clam Chowder, and added more seafood options, such as Pan Roasted Salmon, Grilled Swordfish and Caramelized Sea Scallops. Both brunch and dinner now include two vegan and gluten-free options.

At The Dock, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, the refreshed menu features new dishes designed for sharing. Options include Jeweled Tabbouleh, Sautéed Eggplant, Red Lentil Dip, Turkish Deviled Eggs and Kebbeh. Grilled selections include Pork Souvlaki and Beef Kafta Skewers, while seafood options include Swordfish, Yellowfin Tuna and Poached Shrimp. The menu also includes vegan and gluten-free dishes. A Plum Pita Tart is available on Resilient Lady.

Virgin Voyages also teamed up with chef Rashida Holmes on the new menu at The Beach Club at Bimini. For the new offerings, Holmes, the chef behind Los Angeles restaurant Bridgetown Roti, has drawn on her Bajan and Trinidadian roots. Dishes include Curry Chicken Roti, Snapper Patties, tamarind barbecue skewers, tostones and sweet plantains.

The updates are part of the cruise line’s ongoing culinary program, led by Chef Levi Mezick, senior director of culinary program development.

“Menus should never stand still,” says Mezick. “The favorites are still there, but now there’s even more worth coming back for.”

The refreshed menus at The Wake and The Dock are available now, while the new offerings at The Beach Club at Bimini begin rolling out October 16. Dining at all three venues is included in the cruise fare.
