Victoria Residential Cruise On Hold as Canadians Pull Out

Victoria Cruise Lines has notified passengers booked for its Residential Cruise that the launch is postponed. Originally scheduled to set sail from Port Everglades on July 26, 2025, the journey’s launch is delayed until a new date can be set.

The cruise line states that it had set a minimum 80 percent occupancy rate to “ensure the quality, stability, and sustainability of life on board.” Due to a wave of Canadian cancellations Victoria blames on “recent political and economic tensions between the United States and Canada,” the occupancy rate fell to 430 cabins, a number deemed insufficient for a viable launch.

The statement on its website says that all affected residents will be contacted and offered compensation, while thanking customers for their “patience, understanding, and continued trust.”
