Seabourn’s Antarctica cruises have been so popular that the line is adding an additional departure in the spring of 2026.
Offered on the Seabourn Venture, the new addition is an 11-day cruise taking place March 10-21, 2026.
“Our Antarctica expedition voyages are incredibly popular, and we encourage guests to seize this chance to experience this remarkable continent and learn about the historic voyages of renowned explorers James Weddell, Otto Nordenskjöld and Fabian Gottlieb von Bellingshausen,” says Robin West, vice president and general manager of expeditions for Seabourn.
The Antarctic cruise season typically runs from November to March. Visiting toward the end of the season will give travelers “a unique opportunity to witness the stunning landscapes as they transition into winter,” says West.
“This period is ideal for observing peak whale activity, with potential sightings of humpback whales and orcas, along with gentoo penguins and Antarctic fur seals,” she adds.
Both Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit will be sailing in Antarctica during the 2025-26 season, with itineraries ranging from 11 to 21 days. All cruises start with a hotel stay in Buenos Aires, followed by a charter flight to Ushuaia. On the trip home, charter flights from Ushuaia to Buenos Aires are also included.
Guests visiting the White Continent will be able to sharpen their photography skills through the line’s new “Image Masters” program. Offerings include a workshop led by an onboard nature photographer, as well as in-the-field tips for photo composition, camera technique, editing and retouching.
