Royal Caribbean International’s new private destination in The Bahamas is still on track to open later this month.

Crew members are working hard to put the finishing touches on Royal Beach Club Paradise Island before its scheduled opening on December 23.

“We're so excited for guests to experience our newest exclusive destination in just a few weeks,” a company spokesperson wrote in an email to TravelPulse.

Fans of the cruise line were worried the opening might be delayed, because the company recently canceled a sneak peek preview of the destination. Posting on the social media site Reddit, one user shared a screenshot of an email he or she received from the cruise line. The user had RSVPed for an exclusive “first look” at Royal Beach Club Paradise Island on December 15. But, in the email, the cruise line informed the guest the visit would not be happening.

The email reads, in part: “Construction is still in progress, and while the island is shaping up beautifully, it’s not quite ready for guests just yet. Our original plan was to have you help us experience everything Royal Beach Club Paradise Island will offer. But we want to make sure it meets the exceptional standards we’ve envisioned before opening it to you. This sneak peek was designed to be both fun and a chance for us to fine-tune every detail. That day is coming soon—but not during this sailing.”

Royal Beach Club Paradise Island has two beaches, three pools, three beach grills and 10 bars—including the world’s largest swim-up bar. Everything is included, such as roundtrip water transportation, beach games, Wi-Fi, umbrellas and lounge chairs, lockers and towels.

It’s also home to the Ultimate Family Cabana, Royal Caribbean’s first multi-level cabana, complete with a slide, a frozen drink machine, a dedicated attendant and more. Beach and poolside cabanas are also available, as well as day beds. Guests can also reserve the east or west side of The Party Deck, a private pool-front space for up to 12 guests with dedicated food and beverage service and unique poolside amenities.

Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is just one of the company’s new forthcoming private destinations. Royal Beach Club Santorini and Royal Beach Club Cozumel in Mexico will open in 2026, followed by Perfect Day Mexico in 2027 and Royal Beach Club Lelepa in 2028. The company is also building a new hotel in Chile, The Cormorant at 55 South, for guests of Silversea’s Antarctica cruises.
