Royal Caribbean International hosted over 65 travel professionals onboard Liberty of the Seas while docked in Halifax last week for a training session, lunch and tour of the ship led by Director Lisa Connell with help from Strategic Account Manager Nate Allen and National Account Manager Eric St-Pierre.

A key moment was a training session where advisors were updated on the brand’s newest and upcoming ships, including the Icon, Utopia as well as Star of the Seas, the private destinations, and Beach Clubs (Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Beach Club Nassau and Royal Beach Club Cozumel), in addition to the cruise line’s programs, amenities, group conditions and other vital commercial opportunities.

Judy Munden, from Air Canada Vacations, also had the chance to address the group.

Liberty of the Seas is one of three Freedom-Class ships. She was inaugurated in 2007 by Toronto-based Canadian Travel Agent and Godmother, Donnalea Madeley. Liberty was the fleet’s first ship to feature a true-to-form Broadway Musical: Saturday Night Fever, still presented onboard to her guests’ delight.

She is one of three Royal Caribbean ships homeported in Bayonne, New Jersey (Port of Cape Liberty) during the summer season, offering several diverse itineraries to Canada, New England, Bermuda, and the Caribbean, ranging from 4 to 9 nights.

This fall, she will move to Fort Lauderdale where she will offer 3 and 4-night itineraries with stops in Nassau as well as Royal Caribbean’s popular private destination: Perfect Day at CocoCay.
