Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is unveiling four new itineraries to replace previously planned Red Sea routes.
Scheduled for June 2 to August 3, 2027, aboard the 500-guest EUROPA 2, the voyages will take guests from Asia across the Indian Ocean and southern Africa to the western Mediterranean.
Then, EUROPA 2 will resume its original schedule from Civitavecchia (Rome).
The new itineraries include extended overnight stays in Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City, visits to the volcanic island of Réunion and stops in destinations like Cape Town, Maputo, St Helena and the Cape Verde Islands.
Many cruise lines are continuing to reroute their vessels away from the Red Sea, where Houthi rebels continue to target ships.
