Azamara Onward will enter dry dock in early November 2027, part of the Azamara Cruises’ Azamara Forward fleetwide renovation program.
The vessel will undergo a series of onboard upgrades, including a transformation of its onboard nightlife venues, a newly dedicated Chef’s Table experience, a reimagined Discoveries Restaurant, a recrafted Atlas Bar, a full transformation of The Cabaret Lounge, refreshed staterooms and suites and upgraded public spaces.
Azamara Onward will emerge from dry dock on November 25, 2027, departing on a seven-night “Italy Intensive” voyage from Athens to Rome. After returning to service, Azamara Onward will continue sailing in the Mediterranean before crossing the Atlantic later in the season to begin Caribbean itineraries.
Additionally, the brand is also launching a new global “A Suite Story” contest inviting guests to help inspire the naming of 12 new suites aboard Azamara Quest, which will debut as part of that vessel’s Azamara Forward enhancements.
Participants are invited to share a short story and photo inspired by meaningful destinations visited on Azamara sailings. The submission deadline is April 19, and select entries will influence the final suite names. One grand prize winner will receive a spot on the Azamara Quest’s one-night preview sailing from Miami on December 17. Winners will be announced May 8.
“Azamara has always been about the destinations we visit and the connections our guests make along the way,” says Dondra Ritzenthaler, chief executive officer of Azamara Cruises. “With A Suite Story, we’re inviting our community to share the places and experiences that stayed with them long after their sailings, helping inspire suite names that will celebrate those moments and welcome future travelers.”
