luxury river cruises for 2025 and 2026.
The Best of Holland & Belgium joins
the 2025 lineup, and 2026 will have new Soulful experiences: Riches of the
Mekong on October 11 and Swiss Alps & Rhine Castles Christmas on December 15. Enticing
Douro sailing is also being offered in 2026 and was first done in 2025.
The Soulful Experience sailing series is dedicated to
creating genuine experiences and excursions that celebrate Black heritage and
culture. A dedicated Soulful webinar for travel advisors, hosted by Soulful
expert, AmaWaterways Senior Director Jazzmine Douse, will be available on
AmaWaterways Travel Advisor Portal.
Best of Holland & Belgium
The Best
of Holland & Belgium cruise is a new 2025 seven-night soulful
experience on AmaStella that spans the holidays of Kwanzaa and New Year’s. Guests
can celebrate Kwanzaa with daily themes that honor its seven principles,
nightly Kinara candle-lighting ceremonies and an Amsterdam cultural tour. Other
highlights for excursions include the island metropolis of Hellevoetsluis, and
the castles and architecture of Brussels. There is an optional two-night
pre-cruise offered in Amsterdam.
The December 27, 2025, sailing has fares starting at USD
3,039 USD and 4,117 CAD per person, double, with the Holiday Triple Savings
offer through March 31, 2025.
Enticing Douro
Enticing
Douro will run from June 13-23, 2026, to allow for the celebration
of Juneteenth with themed events and programs. The cruise starts with three
nights in Lisbon, a city that had a significant population of free Africans and
the site of Europe’s first African neighborhood. The cruise will be
seven-nights on Portugal’s Douro River aboard the AmaDouro.
Pricing starts at 4,949 USD and 6,522 CAD.
Riches of Makong
The Riches
of Mekong cruise will run from October 11-25, 2026 on the AmaDara, and
includes a four-night Central Vietnam Land Extension where guests can enjoy a
deep dive into some of the most intriguing regions in the country. The
experience focuses on Vietnam and Cambodia’s connections to black history as it
sails along the Mekong River. Two highlights are the UNESCO World Heritage Site
of Hoi An and a hands-on Vietnamese Cooking Class. Two days in Hue allow for a
royal dinner at Ancient Gue and visits to the tomb of Emperor Ming Mang.
Limited-time fares start at 5,032 USD and 6,744 CAD.
Swiss Alps & Rhine Castles Christmas
Swiss
Alps & Rhine Castles Christmas will start on Dec. 15, 2026, in line
with Kwanzaa celebrations with a seven-night cruise from Basel, Switzerland to
Amsterdam that offers a series of Black cultural connections along the Rhine
River route on AmaVenita. The two-night post cruise stay in Amsterdam will let
guests enjoy the culture and city. Highlights include but are not limited to
France’s oldest Christmas Market in Strasbourg, riverside towns and villages
filled with holiday spirit and the Christmas market of Drosselgasse, Rüdesheim,
Germany.
Prices begin at 4,299 USD and 6,071 CAD during the Triple
Holiday Savings event through March 31.
