Passengers flying Virgin Atlantic from Toronto Pearson (YYZ) will have more options connecting through London Heathrow (LHR) on the way to India this summer.

The airline announced some tweaks to its 2026 schedule to better reflect customer demand. Of note to Canadians is the increased services to Bengaluru (BLR) which will move from seven to 13 flights per week, with strong connectivity for Canadian flights. The increased BLU flights wil complement double-daily, year-round services to both Mumbai and Delhi. Capacity to Mumbai will also increase, with the VS358/359 operating on an A350 aircraft, adding 30% more seats.

Other changes to the Virgin Atlantic schedule include fewer flights between its hub in London and Miami and  to New York JFK starting in the summer, but increased lift to Montego Bay, Jamaica and to Las Vegas.

The airline has also made the decision to end its flights to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as the conflict in the Middle East continues. Virgin Atlantic will continue to serve Saudi Arabia through its codeshare and SkyTeam partner, Saudia, which operates services between London Heathrow, Riyadh and Jeddah, as well as Manchester to Jeddah, with onward connections across the Kingdom.

Dave Geer, Chief Commercial Officer, Virgin Atlantic spokesperson said: “We have loved flying to Riyadh and are very sorry for the disappointment this change will cause. We know this route has been important to many of our customers, and we’re truly grateful for their support.”
