Turkish Airlines is raising its profile in Canada, with increased airlift and a major sponsorship.
Starting in July, 2026 the airline will increase weekly flights into its Canadian gateways at Toronto Pearson (YYZ), Montreal Trudeau (YUL) and Vancouver (YVR). That means Pearson will have daily flights, and Montreal and Vancouver will each have four weekly flights from Istanbul (IST).
The Turkish flag carrier is also set to increase visibility as the airline sponsor of Canada’s only PGA event, the 2026 RBC Canadian Open. The tournament will be held June 10 to June 14 at the North Course at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley.
“Our return to the RBC Canadian Open is a reflection of our long-term commitment to Canada and to the sports communities that unite people across borders,” says Turkish Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Harun Bastürk. “Turkish Airlines connects over 130 countries, and we bring that same global spirit to every partnership we enter.”
In addition to the sponsorship, Turkish Airlines will host activations at The Fare Way, with refreshments and contesting, including the chance to win two tickets aboard Turkish Airlines to any of its more than 350 destinations.
There will also be a premium lounge experience at the tournament, overlooking the 18th hole. This year, those lucky enough to score a spot at the in-demand lounge will have access to 2,000 square feet of custom-built lounge space with glass walls for 360 degree views, with a Turkish Coffee and Tea Station with a curated menu for breakfast, lunch and snacks, plus on-site professional shoulder massages to help fans relax.
Bastürk believes fans will enjoy the experience. “Building on the momentum of our first year, we have worked closely with Golf Canada and Osprey Valley to deliver a significantly enhanced guest experience that mirrors the ambition and excellence on display at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley,” he says. “We are glad to stand beside one of golf’s most storied national Opens and look forward to another unforgettable week.”
