There will soon be a new series of snacks to complement Sunwing Airlines' in-flight Champagne Service. After listening to customer suggestion, Sunwing officials are announcing that they are "evolving" their in-flight meal service.
"Today's customers prefer a variety of fresh and affordably priced meal options to suit their individual tastes," said Sunwing, via a press release.
Execs have apparently been taste testing new dishes from the airline's catering service, and have selected new meals and snacks that they believe will have the most appeal to their customers.
The airline's new buy-on-board service will begin Oct. 5, 2016 and will feature a variety of hot meals and snack options, including a tapas assortment, an artisan cheese plate and a kid's snack box filled with brand name favourites. A selection of wine, beer and spirits - after the initial glass of champagne - will also be available for purchase. Complimentary non-alcoholic drink service is also available.
Also changing, Sunwing will no longer accept cash for onboard transactions, so passengers will have to pay with a credit card for their purchases.
Sunwing Airlines will continue to offer Champagne Service, welcoming passengers with a free glass of sparkling wine on all flights headed South (Caribbean, Central America and Mexico). Passengers on South-bound flights and on cruise packages also enjoy a complimentary checked baggage allowances of 23 kg per person on the first bag.

Through July 29th, Sunwing Vacations is offering discounts of up to 50 per cent off select vacation packages to Mexico, the Caribbean, Cuba or Central America, with July and August departures.
Additionally, the tour operator is extending its Zero Deposit promotion. Passengers who book by Aug. 31st for travel from Dec. 21, 2016 through Oct. 31, 2017 can select from a variety of vacations and book with no money down.
