It’s gotten even easier for NEXUS Members to go through security screenings at select airports in Canada after the launch of the Verified Traveller program in June.
The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA), in collaboration with Transport Canada, launched their Verified Traveller program on June 21, 2023.
This program replaces CATSAs existing benefits offered to trusted travellers.
The new screening experiences are available depending on location and checkpoint, and include:
· Leaving permitted liquids, aerosols and gels in your carry-on
· Leaving laptops and electronics in your carry-on
· Keeping shoes, belts, light jackets and headwear on
· Keeping small items in your pockets
· Access to dedicated screening lines, or front of the line service (including for certain co-travellers)
To learn more about the screening benefits offered across various airports and checkpoints, visit the Verified Traveller page on CATSAs website.
Note that all Verified Traveller queuing options and screening lines are available when the checkpoint is open.
