Canada Jetlines has signed a multi-year agreement with Airbus-owned NAVBLUE, giving access to a suite of flight operations solutions once the airline takes off in early Spring 2022.
The fledgling leisure carrier - which will operate a fleet of Airbus 320 aircraft -- says the collaboration will build upon its ability to offer convenient air travel options for the best value possible.
"As an Airbus operator, it made sense for us to first consider the services offered by NAVBLUE to help Canada Jetlines develop and achieve the highest level of safety and operational efficiency," stated Eddy Doyle, Canada Jetlines President & CEO.
NAVBLUE's implemented solutions will include a suite of integrated aviation programs related to flight planning and tracking, navigation and safety.
The airline says the collaboration will provide immediate efficiencies, reduce aircraft operating costs, and keep environmental impact to the minimum.
Canada Jetlines is taking a different approach to the retail travel channel than some of the newer Canadian airlines it will be competing with. The airline says it will utilize a "state-of-the-art" web booking platform, making the turnkey solution available to travel agents, tour operators and consumers, with the capability to generate revenue on reservations and ancillary sales.
In a statement, Canada Jetlines says it will offer "more destination choice than competitors and more revenue options for travel agents and tour operators." The statement adds: "Canada Jetlines looks forward to providing further incentive to reward the dedicated travel agents and tour operators that continue to keep the momentum of travel alive."
The carrier, which projects growth to a fleet of 15 aircraft by 2025, says it was created to provide Canadian consumers with more value choices and travel options to fly to sun and leisure destinations in the U.S., Caribbean, and Mexico.
"The efficient aircraft design merged with the experience of the all-Canadian management team, allows for accessible flight options without sacrificing quality or convenience," the company says.
