New U.S. Code Share Routes for Porter and WestJet

Although travel to the U.S. has fallen significantly since 2024, both Porter and WestJet have expanded their code share agreements with U.S.-based airlines, making travel more seamless for Canadian passengers still choosing to visit the States.

WestJet will place its codes on an additional 10 Delta Air Lines routes, a new development that started on July 15, 2026, with the final route added in late November, according to Aeroroutes WestJet recently cut several flights to the U.S. so these code share flights will make it easier for connecting passengers to reach major American cities.

Meanwhile, Porter Airlines has expanded its code share with American Airlines. American recently celebrated its 85th anniversary of flying into Toronto Pearson (YYZ), which was the first international commercial flight to come to Canada.  The code share agreement launched last September and is now being expanded significantly for winter 2026-2027. Porter will place their codes on 40 U.S. domestic routes from American’s hub at Chicago O’Hare (ORD).
