American Express and Aspire Pre-Flight Hospitality announced a new lounge at Calgary International Airport (YYC) and another planned for Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL).
The expansion follows the opening of the companies’ first co-branded Aspire Amex Lounge in Montréal’s domestic departures area in September 2025.
The new Aspire Amex Lounge at Calgary International Airport opens Sept. 16 in the domestic terminal and will serve travellers departing YYC for destinations within Canada.
A second lounge is scheduled to open in the transborder area at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport by early 2027, serving passengers travelling from Montréal to the United States.
“Airport lounge access is an important part of the value we deliver to our Cardmembers, particularly as we look for ways to elevate their journeys and make them more rewarding,” says Kim Kuzmak, Vice President of Lifestyle Benefits, Partnerships & Brand, American Express Canada.
“We saw a strong response to the Aspire Amex Lounge in Montréal, and we’re building on that momentum with Aspire to expand the experience to more Cardmembers across Canada.”
Priority Access for Eligible Amex Cardmembers
Under the expanded partnership, eligible American Express cardmembers will receive priority lounge and waitlist access. The lounges will offer both buffet options and tableside ordering.
“We’re proud to build on the success of our partnership with American Express in Montréal,” says Jorge Da Silva, Vice-President, Head of Pre-Flight Hospitality, North America, Swissport. “Aspire’s expertise in airport hospitality, combined with American Express’ deep understanding of its Cardmembers, has created an experience that resonates with travellers. We look forward to bringing that experience to more locations across Canada.”
American Express and Aspire say the existing Montréal domestic lounge has recorded more than 50,000 cardmember visits since opening in September 2025.
Aspire is the airport hospitality business of Swissport International.
The partnership is part of American Express’ wider airport lounge program. Through the American Express Global Lounge Collection, eligible cardmembers have access to more than 1,550 airport lounges in 140 countries.
