Air France Reduces Service to Canada

Service to Canada from Paris on Air France will be slightly less robust this winter, once the airline switches to its winter schedule. On the chopping block: daily service to Vancouver and Ottawa.

Air France isn’t cancelling the routes entirely. According to MSN, the airline was set to introduce daily flights between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) this winter, but has decided to stick with its five times a week schedule currently in operation.

In Ottawa, the reduction may be more keenly felt, as the Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW) - Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport (CDG) is the only winter route to Europe that flies from Ottawa. Over the summer, Air France operates daily between the two capitals, however, once the cooler weather sets in, the frequency will be reduced. Simple Flying reports November 2025 will have four weekly flights, December, six and the first quarter of 2026 will see between either four or five weekly flights scheduled.
