Air Canada has once again extended its suspension of flights from Toronto and Montreal to Tel Aviv. The next flight from YYZ to TLV is scheduled for August 6, while the first flight to Israel from YUL is slated for August 12.
In early April, AC briefly resumed service after a six-month pause due to the conflict in Gaza following the October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas. Days later, the Iranian missile barrage on Israel caused the airline to suspend flights until July. Now the date has been pushed back another month.

Affected customers on flights between now and August 5 will be able to rebook to alternate flights if available, or obtain a travel credit or full refund, the airline said.
Last week, United Airlines announced that it would not resume flights to Israel until June. Currently, passengers wishing to fly directly between Israel and North America can only do so on El Al Israel Airlines Ltd., which is how TravelPulse Canada travelled to Israel in April.
Last month UK low-cost carrier easyJet cancelled all Israel flights until the end of October. Low cost carrier Wizz Air is operating flights to and from Israel but on a greatly reduced schedule. Air India is scheduled to resume Israel flights next week.
In a statement, Air Canada said it will continue to monitor the situation in the region and adjust its schedule accordingly. Air Canada operates four non-stop, return flights a week from Toronto to Tel Aviv.
“We remain in contact with the Canadian government,” Air Canada said on its advisory site. We continue to closely monitor the situation and will adjust our plans accordingly.”
