Offering clients an RV vacation option might not be top of mind, but it should be on your list as a unique and hassle-free offering.
CanaDream offers a different and affordable option for clients that's 10% commissionable. With the holidays fast approaching, some Canadian clients may be finding themselves scrambling if they haven't already booked their winter vacation.
"I don't like to say we rent motorhomes, because what we're really doing is providing the Canadian experience," Klaus Gretzmacher, VP Tourism, CanaDream, told TravelPulse Canada earlier this summer.
Though Canadians love to head south during our winter months, they also love creating a memorable and unique experience for their families and friends. Booking an RV trip offers that - it is an especially fun idea for kids. Cold temperatures aren't an issue with their Winter Ready MHA Maxi Motorhomewithinsulated and heated water and holding tanks and full use of water in temperatures as low as -30 degrees Celsius.
Pickup locations are located across the country in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax.
TravelPulse Canada test drove a brand-new Midi Motorhome to Arrowhead Provincial Park in Huntsville, ON, about a 500 km round trip. Park reservations are made by the client and in some cases, depending on location and itinerary, there are public spaces who allow CanaDream travellers to park overnight for free. The CanaDream Club offers discounts and special offers at thousands of campsites and attractions. Guests can also take advantage of a partnership with Journie Rewards which offers savings of up to 12c per litre on gas.
Here's what you need to know when explaining the ins and outs to clients.
The pickup process is seamless: Toronto's location is in Brampton and the area itself is spacious which makes those first-time driver jitters ease a bit. Before pickup, clients will have checked in online and completed all the rental agreement documentation, drivers licence information and watched the demo and safety videos. On the day of pick up customers simply perform a self-guided demo, ask any questions they might have and they are free to hit the road, the customer service at the station is excellent.
Renting is on Par with Hotel Costs: The per night rental pricing averages that of a standard hotel, making this a great option for families. Like hotel bookings, the earlier you book, the more you can save. Currently, there is a promotion for bookings made before October 31, for travel 3 April to 5 November 2023.
Explore other Provinces and States: A tendency when RV'ing is to stick to your own province, however with pickup locations across the country, adding a flight and RVing outside your hometown is also an excellent option. CanaDream allows their RVs to travel across the border, if exploring the US is up their alley. CanaDream has a useful Trip Planner Tool to help with itineraries.
Hotel and Car Parking Options: For clients living outside the pickup cities or flying to a province for their RV trip, CanaDream has partnerships in place with local hotels to allow a night stay the day before pickup/after drop off if needed. Also available are parking options for your vehicle while you are away.
Comfort is More Than You're Probably Expecting: Glamping is a popular trend in travel and an RV fits that well. Each unit includes a fridge/freezer, gas stove, microwave/convection oven, Heat/AC, a TV, radio and high quality foam mattresses.
CanaDream works with many travel agents such as TDC, CAA Travel, The Travel Agent Next Door and many independent agencies, making CanaDream bookings fully commissionable for agents.
