Travel Best Bets brought together 20 of its Vancouver Island-based Connected Agents at the recent Travel Leaders Network (TLN) Nanaimo Mixer, connecting advisors with supplier partners and members of the agency’s home-based team.
The event featured 11 supplier partners, who provided advisors with product updates, sales information and resources designed to support their businesses and client conversations.
Members of Travel Best Bets’ Home-Based Division leadership and administrative team travelled from Vancouver and Kelowna to attend, including Tracy Collinge, VP of Home-Based Division; Matthew Medeiros, Connected Agent Program Coordinator; Scott Bender, Connected Agent Training and Development Coordinator; and Wendy Nielsen, CA Admin Team & Home-Based Agent Support.
“Events like the TLN Nanaimo Mixer are so valuable because they bring our agents, our team and our supplier partners together face-to-face,” said Claire Newell, President of Travel Best Bets.
“Our Connected Agents are building their own businesses, but they’re never doing it alone. Creating opportunities to learn, connect and strengthen industry relationships is an important part of the support and community we want them to have.”

The Nanaimo event also gave Travel Best Bets’ Island-based advisors an opportunity to meet members of the Home-Based Division team in person and connect with other agents working in the region.
Travel Best Bets has Connected Agents located across Canada, making regional events one way for its home-based advisors to access supplier training and meet industry partners without travelling to larger national gatherings.
The agency says it plans to continue creating training and networking opportunities for its Connected Agents as its national network grows.
