Located in north-central Mexico, Zacatecas is likely a lesser known area to most agents.
That's why in 2022 after Tianguis Turistico in Mexico City, Davey attended a short FAM to Zacatecas. She was immediately impressed with the history of the city, its culture, its cuisine, its incredible museums and art galleries and, in Guadeloupe, its wineries. Joining her on that trip was Le Roy Barragan Ocampo, Secretary of Tourism and interpreter Consuelo Miller.
In 2023, Davey met with Barragan Ocampo again at Tianguis Turistico 2023 in Acapulco and suggested that he come to make a presentation in Toronto, to generate interest in selling Zacatecas to the Canadian market.

Davey gathered a small group of agents, tour operators and media last week at Casa Mezcal with Barragan Ocampo to do just that. The group was given a short presentation on everything Zacatecas has to offer: heritage sites, spiritual, cultural opportunities and so much more.
