Remember when visiting a travel agent meant more than clicking a link that says "list results by price?"
Once upon a time, visiting a travel agent meant going into a shop, talking with a live human being about where to travel and walking out of the store with a big packet of informational brochures and possibly some freshly printed air tickets.
CAA South Central Ontario seems is re-creating the old-fashioned travel agency experience. In fact, their newly re-designed Oshawa store has all the touches of home, even a fireplace designed to create a warm, inviting ambience. This sure isn't your daddy's travel agency.
"We are proud to unveil a unique retail experience for our members and customers. The new, modern look and feel is the result of dedication, hard work and countless hours of planning, designing and constructing our new store," said Kathy Kelly, Director Sales & Distribution, CAA SCO.
The 3,547 square foot shop, which is re-opening after a month-long makeover, even has greeters on hand to help customers navigate the home-inspired layout. In the "living room" area, customers can sit back and browse a tablet while they wait to speak to a CAA employee.
"Whether you are booking your next family vacation, updating your passport photos, purchasing movie tickets or reviewing your insurance needs, we welcome you to the new CAA Oshawa Store - your home away from home," added Kelly.
Want to try this brand new generation of travel agency? The CAA Oshawa Store is located at 1050 Simcoe St., but CAA has 34 retail locations in the South Central Ontario region.
