ACTA has openings on its Independent Travel Advisor (ITA) Committee, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Advisory Committee and its Regional Advisory Committees (RAC) and for 2027-28. You are invited to apply to join these influential committees.
The Independent Travel Advisor Committee focuses on meeting the challenges faced by independent advisors. It advocates for them, creates professional development opportunities and works to ensure the voices of ITAs are heard when it comes to shaping industry practices and policies.
The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility Committee collaborates on all ACTA initiatives, working to create an organization where DEIA principles are integral. By creating strategies to attract and retain diverse talent and enhance cultural competencies, the DEIA Committee works to develop an industry that serves all Canadians.
The Regional Advisory Committees are a way for members to share regional perspectives and identify local issues to help ACTA understand and respond to needs from every part of Canada.
ACTA underscores that in addition to doing important work within the organization, serving on a committee is a great way to network and mentor other travel professionals, while contributing to shaping the future of the industry. Members who can bring varied perspectives and experiences to these roles are especially encouraged to apply.
Committee meetings are held virtually twice a year, with additional meetings scheduled as needed. The terms run for two years, beginning in January 2027. Anyone interested in joining a committee is invited to apply via this form.
Applications are open until Nov. 26, 2026. Those interested are welcome to apply for more than one committee. Committee selections will be made in December.
