The Triple Threat of Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos

As reported earlier this week, TravelPulse Canada was the only media who joined Palace Resorts' agent FAM to the highly anticipated Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos, located in the tourist corridor between Cabo san Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. So what differentiates this resort from other luxury resorts in Los Cabos?

"Every resort offers something unique, so we're looking for that niche client that is looking for our product." said Victor Vargas, director of sales at Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos but whom many of you may know from his time as the former director of sales for Palace Resorts at Playacar Palace Resort in Playa del Carmen. "So the way we differentiate between our resort and other resorts is that we are the only resort that offers a combo of three - All Inclusive, Luxury, and Adult-only. Many resorts offer Luxury with European Plan, other resorts are adult-only, all inclusive, but they don't have the level of luxury. For example, all our rooms come with butler service, vs. those resorts that only offer it for suites. Or there are resorts that are all-inclusive luxury are family oriented."

Los Cabos is one of those destinations that offers a desert climate in a beach destination. Think Scottsdale, Arizona beside the ocean. And it's not uncommon to see palm trees and cacti side-by-side. The design and decor of Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos combines the two beauifully, with palm trees and flowering plants lining the pool area, while towering Saguaro cacti and desert plants and crisp, white marble, adorn the terraced public areas. The striking view shown here, known as Blanc Terrace and just outside the main lobby area, is one of the first that guests will encounter upon arrival.

Guests have the option of six a la carte dining options and most are smaller, more intimate spaces.

• Lumiere, pictured above, offers French cuisine and is the only restaurant on site that requires reservations.

• Blanc Italia offers upscale Italian cuisine including pastas, seafood, and risotto.

• Blanc Asia offers Asian specialties ranging from Thai and Chinese to excellent sushi.

• Blanc Pizza is a casual wood-oven pizzeria and bar, offering made-to-order pizza.

• Blanc Ocean, one of my personal favourites, is the oceanside grill restaurant, overlooking the beach and ocean, featuring everything from salads and sandwiches to burgers, and a wide variety of tacos, including shrimp and a pork crackling taco that was delicious.

• Mezze, a Lebanese restaurant offering Middle Eastern cuisine, is one restaurant that differentiates Le Blanc from other resorts in Los Cabos.

"Other resorts have the traditional French and Italian and Asian restaurants like we do, but we also have a Lebanese restaurant." Vargas told TravelPulse Canada. "We have the only Lebanese restaurant in Los Cabos. So that's a differentiator for us."

Guests also have the option of Blanc International buffet and Blanc Café, both of which are open all day from 7:00 AM.

Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos has two extra large hot tubs that can easily seat 15 to 20 people each, as well as four pools - two with swim-up bars.

One of the swim-up bars is located in the stunning infinity pool which overlooks the beach and the Sea of Cortez. On my first day, I sat relaxing on my lounger, sipping a cocktail and having trouble differentiating where the pool ended and ocean began. That was until a couple rode by on horseback.

In addition, numerous cabana options are available in various areas around the pool, including cabanas with sofas and chairs instead of loungers, for those who may want to sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings without a lounge chair.

Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos boasts the largest spa in the area - 29,000 square feet - and features 25 treatment rooms. A full range of spa treatments, from mani/pedis and salon services, to massage and hydrotherapy are available.

Hydrotherapy options include the herbal steam room, sauna or ice room. Or relax on one of the heated and tiled loungers, pictured above, before heading to the plunge pools and hot tub.

"Hydrotherapy is a whole hour of using the herbal steam rooms, the sauna, the plunge pools, but the attendants provide little touches like a face mask, or aloe for your body." said Vargas. "The property is called Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos Because the spa and the wellness is incorporated in the amenities. Even things like aromatherapy and the scents throughout the resort.

Unlike some resorts that offer butler services to suite guests only, all guests at Le Blanc Spa Resort have butler service, and the butlers are readily available. In the tower rooms, the butler's office is located in the elevator area and our butlers, Carlos (pictured above) and Javier, would always come out whenever someone was in the elevator area and offer their services..

"They are available to pack and unpack for you, iron your clothes, shoe shine, help you with restaurant reservations, tours, spa." Vargas said. "Ask your butler to draw you a hot bath, prepared with lavender bath salts for 7PM, and relax after a day by the pool."

Le Blanc Spa Resort offers a resort credit program good for a wide range of services and amenities. The resort offers varying credit amounts depending on length of stay, starting with $500 per room, for a three-night stay, $1,500 per room for a five to eight-night stay, or as much as $2,500 per room for a stay of 12 or more nights. Some restrictions do apply on how much may be spent on specific services, so guests may not spend $1,500 on spa treatments, for example. But credits can be used for a wide range of services including spa, tours, beauty salon, special dinners and photography, as well as select items at the gift shop, and may be carried over to a future stay with some restrictions.

Resort credits are available for all guests, with the exception of groups which have a different contract and pricing.

Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos can accommodate corporate events, dinners and wedding ceremonies for groups as large as 650 in Blanc Sand, its multi-use meeting and conference space, or smaller groups and meetings in smaller facilities Blanc Breeze and Blanc Board.

But when you're in a tropical destination, you want to be outside as much as possible, and Le Blanc Spa Resort has several options to accommodate events throughout the grounds. Special events can be held around the pool areas, as well as Blanc Terrace and Blanc Wind, pictured here, where Le Blanc hosted an elegant welcome reception for the FAM.

Imagine a wedding ceremony at sunset under the white, marble arch overlooking the Sea of Cortez.

All rooms at Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos have the same amenities, which include large, spa bathrooms, like the one pictured above, which feature a pedestal tub and shower stall with rain shower head.

A comfort menu, offering aromatherapy choices for the in-room aromatherapy dispenser, as well as a pillow menu offering goose down and hyperallergenic options, to name a few, is available, all of which may be ordered through your butler.

"Try the artisan soaps, hand made in Mexico. It's these little touches that make the experience very luxurious and exclusive." said Vargas in closing.
