Inside the Recently Renovated Hard Rock Punta Cana
1/4The Hard Rock Punta Cana Hotel and Casino has undergone a major renovation; what started three years ago as room overhaul continued throughout the property to include restaurants, a brand-new waterpark and a kids club.
“The soul of the property is the same, but on steroids,” jokes Ramon Romero - Director of Sales and Marketing at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana. “Our plan was to only redo the rooms, but that led to the rest of the property and building a brand-new waterpark. Something changed after the pandemic; travellers became more demanding of good quality for a good price and that’s what I think we’re delivering even more right now.”
With a 65,000 square foot convention centre, the largest in the country, the new renovations are sure to also help increase group sales. The property is popular destination for weddings, particularly South Asian weddings which are typically larger in size and trickier to accommodate at some resorts.
The resort experienced significant growth in revenue at a rate of 140% over 2022.
In addition to an increase in spending on food and beverage in 2023, Hard Rock Punta Cana hosted more weddings and events such as social groups and family reunions.
“That increase is from the dedication of our travel advisors, and led to Q1 this year being very strong,” says Carilis DiDonato - Director of Field Sales at AIC Hotel Group
“Q2 is still as strong and is not showing any signs of decline or becoming stagnant.”
TravelPulse Canada visited the property as part of #AICFAMJAM earlier this month – here’s a look at the new renovations.
