St. Barts Travel Guide

St. Barthélemy (St Barts) is a Caribbean paradise located in the French West Indies. Known for its pristine beaches, crystal clear waters, azure skies, and luxurious resorts, it's no wonder why St Barts is one of the hottest vacation spots in the world.

A-listers and yachters flock to the island year-round, attracted to the captivating scenery and relaxed atmosphere. The mix of cultural influences leads to a unique experience, French cuisine, and style while maintaining the island's Caribbean vibes.

Visitors need to experience as much of St Barts as possible. Fortunately, the island provides several options for getting around, including taxis, rental cars, and mopeds.

Taxi services are easily accessible throughout the island. We found amazing taxi stands in Gustavia, Lorient, and Corossol. All taxis are metered, but you can also negotiate a fixed rate with the driver.

One of our top recommendations is to rent a car or moped. Rentals are available throughout the island and can be booked online in advance. For those who want an adventure, several off-road tracks lead you through some of the most remote areas of St Barts.

We love visiting St Barts at any time of the year, but the summer season does get a bit crowded. The Christmas-New Year’s period is quite popular and can be quite expensive for visitors due to the high demand for accommodations.

For those looking for a more relaxed experience, we recommend visiting anytime from March to May. During this time of the year, St Barts sees its fair share of tourists, but it's never overcrowded, and prices are more suitable for budget-minded travelers.
