A new season of exploration has arrived. National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions has unveiled its 2028–2029 season, bringing thoughtful enhancements to many favorite voyages and new opportunities to experience the planet’s most captivating places. Guided by veteran captains, naturalists, National Geographic Photographers and Explorers, your clients will experience the kinds of unforgettable moments found only with the pioneers of expedition cruising—from rare wildlife sightings and meaningful cultural encounters to hands-on scientific discovery.

Among the season’s most anticipated highlights is a return to French Polynesia. Across this far-flung corner of the South Pacific, emerald peaks rise from turquoise lagoons, coral atolls trace delicate rings across the sea and traditions passed down over centuries remain deeply connected to the water. Aboard the National Geographic Orion, your clients can move beyond the region’s iconic beauty to experience its vibrant cultures, seldom-visited islands and extraordinary marine ecosystems in greater depth.

On French Polynesia’s Society Islands: Emerald Peaks and Turquoise Lagoons your clients will journey through Huahine, Taha’a, Ra’iatea, Bora Bora, Tupai and Mo’orea. Travelers can explore hike lush rainforest, snorkel crystalline lagoons and visit UNESCO World Heritage-listed Marae Taputapuātea, the spiritual heart of Polynesian culture and a departure point for ancient navigators. On Bora Bora, they will experience the island from both land and sea before gathering for a private motu barbecue accompanied by Polynesian music beneath the stars.

French Polynesia’s Tuamotus: Hidden Atolls and Coral Seas reveals a more remote side of the region beyond the Society Islands. Your clients can venture into Makatea’s limestone caves and hidden grottoes, search for endemic seabirds and snorkel among the rich marine life of Rangiroa’s vast lagoon. At Fakarava, a UNESCO-designated coral ecosystem offers an underwater world alive with color and biodiversity.

Each voyage can stand alone for clients seeking a shorter expedition, or the two can be combined into an immersive 14-day journey, French Polynesia: The Society Islands and Tuamotus. This extended voyage reveals the dramatic contrast between the volcanic landscapes of the Society Islands and the low-lying coral worlds of the Tuamotus, connected by a shared legacy of seafaring and exploration.

With 2028–2029 departures now available, your clients can look ahead and choose from an expanded collection of thoughtfully enhanced voyages—in the South Pacific and around the world. Encourage them to plan early for the best selection of itineraries, departure dates and cabins.
