Planeterra, the non-profit partner of G Adventures, has released its 2024 Impact Report.
The report reflects the growing global impact of sustainable tourism, with more communities than ever benefiting from Planeterra-supported programs.

According to the report, more than 30,000 people earned income through tourism and climate initiatives championed by Planeterra in 2024 — a significant step forward in the organization’s mission to use travel as a force for good.
“We strengthened partnerships, scaled local solutions, and continued driving meaningful change through travel,” the report stated, highlighting efforts to deepen impact in both tourism and environmental conservation.

Among the year's major milestones:
- Planeterra’s Global Community Tourism Network expanded to include over 550 organizations around the world. These groups were supported with tools, resources, and capacity-building opportunities tailored to their specific needs.
- The non-profit’s tree-growing initiative surpassed 2.65 million trees, reinforcing community-led conservation projects and boosting local biodiversity.
- New strategic partnerships with Evaneos and G Touring broadened Planeterra’s geographic reach, connecting more regions and travellers to sustainable tourism models.

“These partnerships are helping us reach new audiences and ensure more communities benefit directly from the tourism economy,” the report notes.
G Adventures has long integrated community tourism into its itineraries, and through Planeterra, continues to scale its social and environmental footprint across the globe.
