The global market for multi-day tours is experiencing significant growth, with pre-pandemic sales levels being matched or exceeded by mid-2025, according to industry research.
Arival, a resource for the experiences sector, estimates that global sales across roughly 10,000 operators reached US$89 billion in 2019. After a pandemic-related slowdown, multi-day tour operators are now seeing strong demand for deeper, more curated travel experiences that go beyond single-day excursions, reported Breaking Travel News.
According to the data, the segment has grown at an annual rate of 26.6% over the past three years, generating $12.1 billion in revenue in 2024.
Reports suggest that travellers are prioritizing slower-paced, meaningful, immersive itineraries.
“This is no longer a niche. The multi-day segment is becoming a core growth driver for the experiences industry," Douglas Quinby, co-founder and CEO of Arival told BTN.
"Travelers want more than just a day tour; they’re looking for curated, multi-day journeys that deliver deeper engagement and less hassle.”
