Community tourism pioneer, G Adventures, is back to full sales support coverage across Canada with the appointment of Ana Santa Maria to the role of global purpose specialist (GPS) for Alberta and the Prairies. Sara Murphy has also been appointed to the role of regional marketing manager for Canada, where she will be working on brand marketing opportunities and tourist board opportunities.
Ana, who previously worked for G Adventures in a similar role from 2019 to 2020, returns after a three-year hiatus, saying she’s ecstatic to be back doing what she loves at G Adventures, which is changing people’s lives through travel. Sara, who worked in advertising before joining G Adventures, is excited to be marketing real-world experiences and once-in-a lifetime adventures to agents, as well as G Adventures existing and future customers.
TravelPulse Canada recently travelled with Ana Santa Maria to South Africa where we spoke about the importance of travel agents.

1. What is the best thing about working for G Adventures?
There are so many amazing things about working at G Adventures, but if I had to pick one, it is our ability to change the world through travel. Our travellers have the opportunity to spread wealth and have a positive impact on local communities simply by traveling with G Adventures, and I get to be a part of that change.
2. What do you love most about your role?
I love connecting with agents from Alberta and the Prairies. I am able to have a direct impact on travel agents’ businesses and lives. As a former travel agent myself, I take a lot of pride in the impact I can have on their lives. I love this community.
3. Which G Adventures trip do you have your eye on right now?
My next trip is Everest Base Camp with G Adventures this November, which is an absolute dream come true for me!

Erin Rogers, national sales manager for G Adventures, says Ana and Sara join the team at an exciting time for the business, as travel from Canada shifts beyond pre-pandemic booking numbers.
“Travel is back like never before. Having Ana join us to boost our national sales team means we can now better service our agency partners from coast to coast. Sara is going to be a great support to our team as well, working directly with David Green to help to lead tourism board partnerships and boost our brand awareness in Canada,” Rogers says
Ana joins Nuppy Mistry (GPS for Ontario), Hilary Arsenault (GPS for Quebec + the Maritimes), and Jenna English (GPS for British Columbia + the Northern Territories) who are all supported across the country by Erin.
