Air Canada recently announced its biggest-ever winter sun program, with 8% more capacity than pre-pandemic numbers. That expansion is good news for sister company Air Canada Vacations, which has just released its winter 2023/2024 vacation lineup.
Highlights include the return of key seasonal sun destinations such as Grenada, Aruba, Los Cabos, Huatulco, Ixtapa, Saint Vincent, Saint Marteen, Saint Kitts, Great Exuma, Cayo Santa Maria, Holguin, Belize, Panama and San Juan, Puerto Rico, as well as additional frequency and capacity to sunny stalwarts Cancun and Punta Cana.

New choices include Monterrey, Mexico and Martinique from Toronto, La Romana, D.R. and Los Cabos, Mexico from Montreal. Cancun is the powerhouse among sun destinations for AC and ACV, with up to 21 flights per week from Toronto, 14 from Montreal, seven from Vancouver, four from Quebec and three each from Halifax, Ottawa and Edmonton. Punta Cana will receive up to 14 flights per week from Toronto, 12 from Montreal, four from Ottawa and three from Halifax.

Early planners will have their pick of dates and resorts in Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America. Key hotel partners include Sandals Hotels & Resorts, AMR Collection (now known as the Inclusive Collection, World of Hyatt), Ocean Hotels by H10 and Melia Hotels International, among many others.

In addition, cruise lovers can escape to the sea on board the Costa Pacifica, sailing every Sunday from La Romana as of January 7, 2024. This offers a 7-night alternating cruise itinerary that will let travellers experience the destinations of Guadeloupe, Grenada, Barbados, Tortola, St. Lucia, Antigua, Ocho Rios, Grand Turk, Amber Cove, Samana and Catalina Island.
