ACV Launches Seven Ways To Experience The Joys Of Colombia

Air Canada Vacations is launching seven year-round packages in Colombia, one of the world’s hottest destinations.

Getting there is easy, with three year-round Air Canada weekly flights from Toronto, and four weekly flights from Montreal available until December 8, followed by daily flights available from December 9 through March 28.

The seven year-round Colombia tours come complete with private airport transportation in key destinations such as Bogotá, Cartagena de Indias, Medellín, Salento, Mesetas, Múcura Island, Barichara, Guasca, Villa de Leyva, and Islas del Rosario.

Featuring a variety of durations and activities, Air Canada Vacations’ fully guided tours in Colombia are tailored to diverse travel styles, and include breakfasts, sightseeing entrance fees, connecting flights (where applicable), along with 3 to 5-star accommodations located in key areas. Sightseeing transportation is also included and can be either shared or private, while boat transfers are always shared.

Featured tours include:

Andean Discovery, a Couple's Expedition, 11 days/10 nights: This romantic adventure is designed for couples seeking to explore Colombia's captivating charm, stunning scenery, rich culture, and vibrant history. The tour begins in Bogotá, where travellers can immerse themselves in the culture and energy of this historical treasure. They’ll visit the Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and unwind in the picturesque colonial towns of Villa de Leyva and Barichara, where time seems to stand still. Another intriguing inclusion is a unique painting experience using local earth pigments.

Cartagena de Indias and Múcura Island, an R&R Geteway, 11 days/10 nights: This tour begins in Cartagena de Indias with a walking tour and delicious cuisine. Participants will explore the walled city, visit Getsemani or simply relax. They can unwind at a full- board resort on Mucura Island, enjoying sun, delicious meals, and leisure activities. ACV calls it a perfect program for those seeking relaxation and a taste of Caribbean paradise.

City Sights and Natural Delights, a Family Journey, 11 days/10 nights: This curated family-focused itinerary blends cultural exploration, beach relaxation, and nature hikes. It starts and ends in Bogotá, with visits to Cartagena de Indias, and Islas del Rosario. Families will experience Bogotá with a walking tour, visit the Gold Museum, explore the "aMano," and tour Paloquemao Market. The tour continues with hiking in Chicaque Park and a visit to the National Aviary in Baru. It finishes up with beach time in Cartagena de Indias.

Colombian Gems, a Golden Adventure, 11 days/10 nights: Your clients can explore Bogotá, Salento, and Medellín on this well-planned journey starting and ending in Bogotá. They’ll experience Bogotá’s history and Monserrate views, explore Salento’s wax palm forest, learn about Colombian coffee at a hacienda, and discover Medellín’s vibrant art scene.

Colombian Thrills, an Adrenaline Escapade, 11 days/10 nights: Packed with adventure, stunning scenery, and cultural immersion, this itinerary promises an unforgettable Colombian escapade. Participants will embark in an exhilarating journey starting and ending in Bogotá, with visits to Mesetas, and Medellín. This curated tour offers tandem paragliding in Bogotá, an exploration of the Güejar River Canyon with hikes, white-water rafting, and natural pools, and a visit to Medellín's vibrant Comuna 13. Guests will enjoy the thrill of biking down Boquerón Mountain, filled with breathtaking views.

Heritage Exploration, a Colombian Cultural Insight, 11 days/10 nights: Travellers can explore Colombia's rich heritage and diverse landscapes on this itinerary starting and ending in Bogotá, with visits to Medellín and Cartagena. Curious guests can immerse in historical education, cultural exchange, and traditional experiences such as learning crafts, exploring Matarredonda Ecological Park, and experiencing Medellín's vibrant Comuna 13. The program also includes a tour of San Felipe Castle in Cartagena and a visit to San Basilio de Palenque.

The Best of Bogota, 8 days/7 nights: Designed for first-time travellers eager to immerse themselves in Colombian culture and explore its beauty, this tour provides an ideal introduction. They’ll experience Bogotá's highlights in just one week with a city tour, breathtaking views from Monserrate, a hike to La Chorrera waterfall, and a visit to El Paraíso farm to learn about Colombia's coffee heritage. Guests can indulge in local flavours at Paloquemao Market, engage in Tejo, a unique Colombian game, and enjoy delightful meals.
