Emerald Cruises has partnered with Chef Chanthy Yen, winner of Top Chef Canada 2024 for a culinary voyage on the Mekong River aboard Emerald Harmony.
The journey is set to sail Oct. 3-10, 2026 and will combine Cambodian heritage, regional flavours, and luxury river cruising—all through the lens of one of Canada’s most exciting culinary talents.
"I'm incredibly excited to collaborate with Emerald Cruises and showcase my heritage through food. Cooking has always been a way for me to connect with my roots, and I found myself drawn to Cambodian cuisine and the cherished memories of cooking with my grandmother,” said Chef Chanthy Yen. “Bringing these flavours to life on such a grand scale is deeply meaningful, and I can't wait to share this culinary journey with guests on board.”
The cruise is the first celebrity chef collaboration Emerald has done on the Mekong. It promises” a rare blend of storytelling, food, and cultural connection.”
The eight day cruise will feature cooking demonstrations, the opportunity to sample Chef Chanthy’s creations and a question and answer event to allow guests to get to know him a little more.
Land tour options are also available to extend and enhance travellers’ experiences as they travel through Vietnam and Cambodia.
Emerald Cruises suggests the 13-day "Wonders of Cambodia, Vietnam & the Mekong" itinerary, departing October 1, 2026, where guests can cruise from $7,845 CAD per person and fly for just $995 CAD per person. For a limited time, guests can also save an additional $250 per person by using the offer code BONUS when they book by July 31, 2025.
