Summer Activities at Wyhndham Alltra Punta Cana and Wyhndham Alltra Samana
Authorities in Jamaica have reached out to TravelPulse Canada, asking our Founder and EIC to stop impersonating its citizens, under a new law put in place earlier this year, that forbids all “cultural references” outside the country unless prior approval has been given. John Kirk, widely known for his spot-on and relentless Jamaican accent, is accused of performing the accent for the sole purpose of generating interest and social media recognition without the prior consent of the Jamaican Cultural Standards Authority.
“While we appreciate what John has done to create awareness of our culture, we have given him a formal warning to cease all accents immediately, without penalty,” a representative from the JCSA said in an email to the TravelPulse Canada team. “We sincerely look to his cooperation in this matter and hope to be able to continue to still welcome him to Jamaica.” If Kirk doesn’t concede, he is facing a lifetime ban of Red Stripe and bringing video equipment – including his beloved iphone 27 – to the country.
HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY EVERYONE!
