BREAKING NEWS: Canada Set To End Vaccine Mandate For Domestic, Outbound Travel

Multiple news outlets are reporting that Canada will announce today the end of vaccine mandates for domestic travel on planes and trains as well as outgoing international flights.

Senior government sources are cited by news outlets including CBC and CTV, stating that the change will be announced today and go into effect on Wednesday, June 15.

Foreign nationals coming to Canada will still be required to be vaccinated.

The mandates first came into effect in October 30, 2021, and have required all passengers on planes or trains to provide proof of full vaccination before being allowed to board.

With lengthy airport delays a major issue in recent weeks, the government has been under pressure to find solutions.

The reports say that the government may reinstate the vaccine requirement if there's a new variant of the virus.
