Secrets St. Lucia Resort & Spa has marked its first anniversary following a year that included a AAA Four Diamond designation and the growth of its local workforce to approximately 700 employees.
The adults-only, all-inclusive resort celebrated the milestone on Sept. 18 with Carnival of the Senses, an event showcasing Saint Lucian food, music, dance, heritage and fashion.
The celebration was held alongside the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority’s 2026 Saint Lucia Showcase International and welcomed more than 300 guests, including government officials, tourism representatives and international travel partners.
Among those attending were the Honourable Dr. Ernest Hilaire, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information; Her Excellency Nicole Su, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to Saint Lucia; Thaddeus Antoine, Chairman of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority; and Louis Lewis, CEO of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority.
Representatives from Mullen Real Estate Capital and Hyatt Inclusive Collection also attended.
“Celebrating our first anniversary alongside our recent AAA Four Diamond recognition is a testament to our exceptional team, our partners, and the warm welcome we have received from Saint Lucia,” said Carl Ainscough, General Manager. “We are proud to pair the thoughtful service of the Secrets brand with the island’s culture, natural beauty, and spirit. As we enter our second year, we look forward to creating even more meaningful connections between our guests and the destination.”
Following a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, the anniversary event took place around the resort’s main pool, with local cuisine, music and traditional dance, heritage displays and a runway presentation featuring Saint Lucian fashion designers.
First Year in Saint Lucia
Secrets St. Lucia opened in June 2025 following a multi-million-dollar renovation. The property has since received an AAA Four Diamond designation and Queer Destinations certification.
The resort has also grown to approximately 700 employees and has established a partnership with the Saint Lucia Kings professional cricket team.
Located on Saint Lucia’s Caribbean coast, the 355-room resort is the island’s largest adults-only all-inclusive property. Ground-floor accommodations offer either swim-out access or private plunge pools.
The property has nine restaurants, seven bars and lounges, three pools and a spa.
Its location also provides access to several of northern Saint Lucia’s major visitor areas and attractions, including Pigeon Island, Rodney Bay and the Gros Islet Friday Night Jump-Up.
