Nobu Hospitality has released new details about Nobu Beach Inn, a boutique property planned for Barbuda as part of The Beach Club, Barbuda, a low-density resort and residential community on the island’s southwest coast.
The project follows the 2020 opening of Nobu Barbuda, a beach restaurant and lounge on Princess Diana Beach that has since become a destination in its own right.
Co-founded by Robert De Niro, Nobu Hospitality is developing the inn in partnership with James Packer and Daniel Shamoon.
Nobu Beach Inn will include 36 bedrooms spread across 17 individual villas. Plans include a beach club, an oceanfront pool, an indoor and outdoor spa, a kids' club, an outdoor cinema, two tennis courts, two padel courts, and a gym pavilion.
Dining options will include Nobu, alongside an oceanfront grill.
According to a press release, the single-storey bungalows are designed to blend into the landscape using natural, sustainable materials. The property will be connected by sand pathways and surrounded by landscaped grounds. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2026.
A Personal Project
The development holds particular significance for De Niro, who first discovered the property more than 30 years ago while on a boat trip from Antigua.

"Since I first stepped foot on Barbuda, I knew it was special. We wanted to create a place that's comfortable, where everyone wants to gather and embrace the essence of the island. The Nobu Beach Inn is designed to complement its surroundings while maintaining the landscape's natural beauty," said De Niro.

In addition to hotel accommodations, the project will include 25 beachfront residences. The four- and five-bedroom bungalows will be connected by pools, gardens and pathways and can be customized by buyers. Owners will have access to all resort amenities and may opt into the rental program. Residences are priced starting at $12 million USD.
Access to Barbuda
Air access to the island has improved with the opening of Burton Nibbs International Airport in October 2024, allowing direct private jet access and inter-island connections.
V.C. Bird International Airport in Antigua offers non-stop service to and from North America and Europe, including routes from Toronto, Miami, New York, and London. From Antigua, Nobu Beach Inn will be accessible via a 10-minute helicopter transfer.
