Hyatt Centric Set to Open New Canadian Hotels

In a slew of hotel opening announcements, Hyatt Centric Hotels included the news that two properties will open in Canada in 2026.

The first is set to welcome guests in B.C.’s charming capital city. Victoria Old Town Hyatt Centric will be located in the historic centre of Victoria, with 135 rooms and suites, a restaurant, bar, lounge and coffee shop.

The second property will open later next year in Winnipeg. The Hyatt Centric Winnipeg Downtown will be home to a signature restaurant and bar, with an open concept lobby Hyatt says will “capture the local spirit.”

Hyatt Centric hotels is a brand with full-service boutique style hotels located in prime destinations. They aim to connect guests with the action of the city, plus provide social spaces and bars and restaurants that serve as local hotspots. These properties will be the first of the Hyatt Centric hotels in Western Canada, joining the Hyatt Centric Montreal which is only Canadian hotel currently open under the brand.
