The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort features makeovers for children ages 3 to 12, including costumes, accessories, and styling.
Packages run from a simple hairstyling with gel and a mighty sword and shield for $19.95 up to a $450 combination with a signature Disney princess dress, makeup, hairstyling, tiara, garment bag, and more.
Now the boutique has announced new enhancements that will debut in early October.
Disney is promising “new, simplified package options,” as well as special visits from the Fairy Godmother.
A video released by Disney showed the Fairy Godmother waving and sneaking into the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique but provided no other details.
Various Disney fan blogs have wondered about the details and the pricing, with at least one musing about whether the new packages mean price increases, with the possibility that, “Disney is going to find a way to raise prices, whether directly or by improving margins with cuts to existing offerings, nudging people towards more upcharges, etc.” Yet the same blog noted that perhaps this is a sign that Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is simply adding additional options at lower price points, in an effort to raise overall revenues for the attraction.
The boutique is located behind Cinderella’s Castle at Walt Disney World in Florida, and in Fantasyland, near Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland in California. Reservations can be made 60 days in advance.
